Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Wiplinger / Emanuel Wiplinger (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use LovedBy and related domains (the “Service”).

LovedBy is a hosted software service that turns your story into an original personalized song using AI-assisted lyrics and music generation.

The controller for personal data is Emanuel Wiplinger, Dannerweg 2, 4040 Linz, Austria.

The short version

  • You create a song order by email and a short quiz. We store your email, story details, lyrics, and payment status so we can generate and deliver the song.
  • Your song lives in the cloud. Audio files are stored so you can listen and download from a private link.
  • Generations go through AI providers. Prompts, story details, and lyrics needed to create the song are sent to third-party AI services. We do not train our own models on your content.
  • Payments go through Polar. We do not receive your full payment card details.
  • Delivery email is transactional. We email you when your song is ready. That is separate from any optional marketing list.
  • No sale of personal data. We do not sell your personal information.
  • Contact us if you need an order or personal data deleted.

Information we collect

Order and quiz details

When you create a song, we collect your email address, recipient name, occasion, style, mood, voice preference, story and memories, optional specifics, optional sender name, and the lyrics generated or edited for that order.

Do not submit material you are not allowed to share with us or that you do not want processed for song generation.

Song files and delivery

We store generated audio, related generation status, private song identifiers, download metadata, and records of when we emailed you that a song is ready.

Billing information

If you buy a Song Order, Polar processes payment. We store payment status, Polar checkout or order identifiers, and related purchase records needed to fulfill the order.

Polar handles card numbers and tax details under Polar’s privacy policy. We may receive limited billing metadata such as email, country, and invoice status.

Technical and support information

To operate and secure the Service we may process IP address, browser, device type, requested URL, timestamp, session data, and error logs.

If you email us, we receive what you send and use it to respond and keep reasonable records.

How we use information

We use information to provide the Service, generate lyrics and music you request, process payment, deliver song links by email, allow regenerations within product limits, respond to support or legal requests, keep the Service secure, understand product usage at a high level, and comply with the law.

We do not use your Order Content for advertising.

Email

We send transactional emails needed to run the Service, such as “your song is ready” messages and related delivery notices. Transactional email is handled by Resend.

If we later offer an optional newsletter, we will only send it with your consent, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. A newsletter is not required to use the Service.

AI processing

When you generate lyrics or music, we send the necessary story details, preferences, prompts, and lyrics to AI providers so they can return a result. Lyrics generation may go through Vercel AI Gateway, which can route the request to a model provider. Music generation is handled by fal.ai (including models such as Google Lyria).

We do not train our own models on your uploads or generations. Third-party AI providers process that content under their own terms and privacy policies and may operate outside the European Union.

Cookies and local storage

LovedBy may use cookies and similar storage that are needed to run the Service, such as short-lived UI state in your browser.

These are not advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but some features may not work.

Third-party services

We use the following processors. They only receive what they need to provide their part of the Service.

We do not authorize these services to use LovedBy order content for their own advertising.

Data retention

  • Order and song data: Kept while needed to provide access to your song page and fulfill the order, and thereafter as needed for support, security, and legal obligations.
  • Billing records: Kept as needed for billing, tax, and accounting.
  • Support emails and logs: Kept for a limited period as reasonably necessary.

If you ask us to delete personal data related to an order, we delete or anonymize related personal files and records where feasible. Backups and logs may persist for a short time until they rotate. Polar may retain payment records under its own policies.

Your choices and rights

You may contact us to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal information we hold. Depending on where you live, you may have these rights under the GDPR and similar laws.

Anyone with a private song link can open that page. Keep the link private if you do not want others to listen.

Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, and private object storage for song audio. Private links are still shareable by anyone who has them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children’s privacy

LovedBy is not intended for children under 16, or the minimum age required in your country if higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

Wiplinger operates from Austria. Providers may process data in the European Union, the United States, or other countries. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA or United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

European users

Our legal bases typically include contract (providing the Service and billing), legitimate interests (security, reliability, and service improvement), consent where we ask for it, and legal obligation (tax and accounting).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and provide additional notice where required.
